A BMW M 1000 RR in a dimly lit pitlane garage
Pitlane Garage · Annecy

A pitlane garage, designed for the camera.

In Annecy, TL FILMS is fitting out a garage inspired by motorsport pit boxes, designed to film cars, motorcycles and performance bikes, like a racing lab.

A private space: we use it for our own films and make it available to partner productions only.

Why this space

Rebuilding everything, on every shoot.

For more than ten years, we have shot in pitlane garages and empty boxes. Every time, everything has to be set up from scratch.

  1. The Magny-Cours box before setup, with grilles and strip lights
The same box after setup, the bike under designed lighting

    BMW Motorrad · Magny-Cours

A full day for four people to take down the grilles, black out every window, then rig, power and shape the lighting on the ceiling and along the sides from outside.

  2. The barn before setup, a white Alpine in daylight
The barn turned into a race garage for the interview

    Alpine · Ravage

Half a day for five people to black out the windows, hang and shape the Astera practical tubes on the walls, the XL softbox on the ceiling and the red accents from the sides.

The space

Ready to shoot, lighting included.

Raw concrete, grazing LED light, stainless steel panels, black ceiling. Tool chests, tool walls, tyres and helmets make up the set.
